There is no telling what will grab the attention of little kids.  I guess that is really true of anyone, but children can get captivated by some unusual stuff. One of the current "must have items" among the kid crowd is Elmo Tickle Hands.  If you are a parent, and your child wants these, you have probably heard all of the details that you need.  Will these go down as one of the all time classic toys?  Probably not.  Will your child want to hear about that?  Um, no.

A few years ago, we had Tickle Me Elmo.  There was a huge demand for Elmos and most kids wanted one.  I personally found one at WalMart, by chance.  It was kind of amusing.  I just happened to be there and thought I'd ask if they had any just for the heck of it.  This was right in the middle of the whole Elmo craze. When I asked the lady working there if they had any, she got a sort of glint in her eye and whispered for me to follow her.  She took me to a shelf a couple of aisles over and pointed to an Elmo doll that was stashed away behind some other, less coveted, toy.  I put it in my shopping cart, after thanking her, and she quickly started covering it in other merchandise.  She told me that I could tell the cashier not to ring that stuff up.  It was how they were handling the huge demand from desperate parents.  They actually were helping me to HIDE Elmo from other shoppers so I could get to the front of the store without getting mobbed!  It was nuts.

One of this year's hot toys is also Elmo related.  Elmo Tickle Hands are supposed to be worn by children as they dance around to the music that comes from one of the "gloves".  The second glove does not contain the music "box".  It is a cute toy that little kids want.  Elmo Tickle Hands might still be available near you.  This is one of those items you can spend hours tracking down on the phone, calling from store to store.  I do that for about ten minutes before I end up online buying it from either Amazon or eBay.
