When the Nintendo Wii came out, it got many people up off of the couch and actually getting a little bit of exercise when playing video games. I
know my arm was sore after playing Wii Sports Baseball, pitching and swinging the bat. But, that wasn't enough, and Nintendo did it again and revolutionized video game workouts with the Wii Fit. The only exercise games before were games like Dance Dance Revolution, but the Wii Fit was directly aimed at fitness and exercise. The best part was that other video game developers were able to come out with Wii Fit games that incorporated the balance board. Some of these games coming out began to be better than the original Wii Fit game, so Nintendo had to do something to pull ahead. Then came the Wii Fit Plus.
The Wii Fit Plus added onto the success of the original Wii Fit game by incorporating many of the same games and exercises that made people love it originally but then they added many more games and stuff for people to enjoy. Here are some of the games that they added: Snowball fight, Kung Fu, Marching Band, Skateboarding, Juggling, Cycling, and Segway Circuit. There are many more games that they also added, but those are just a few so that you can get an idea about how awesome this game is.
Another Wii Fit game that has been extremely popular is EA Sports Active. This game from the popular video game maker Electronic Arts, was the first major competition for the original Wii Fit Game. It offered a unique twist to using the Wii Fit Balance Board. It featured a lag strap that you could plug the Wii nunchuk controller into, and it would track your leg movements too, letting you know that you are doing the workouts properly.
